I.  BOPA:  Canción   Bistec” – play the song and have the students sign along.  Click to display the words to the song. 

-While the students are listening to this song, have them get out their homework from last night. 

 

§        Tarea:  PS 4-1 in Practice Workbook 

§        Lista de Vocabulario – con el Español y el Inglés

             

-Go around the room with the seating chart on the clipboard and make note of the students who do and do not have their homework completed.  Then record this information on the grade sheets attached to the clipboard.

 

II.  Conversación con compañeros de grupo.  Talk to the other members of your group.  Try to stay ONLY IN SPANISH as you do the following...

·        Ask them their name

·        Ask them how old they are.

·        Ask where they are from.

1.    Vocabulario Para Conversar – pg. 122

Blackline Masters - Comida – have students get out the blackline masters that they received yesterday.  Go through the new vocabulary words and either say them or use them in a sentence in Spanish.  As the students hear the words, they should point to them on their blackline masters.  After a few moments, have the students get into pairs and quiz each other on the words.  One student says the names of the foods and the other locates the picture and points to it.....then switch.

 

Powerpoint Presentation – la Comida – click here to begin the PowerPoint Presentation of the foods.  Go through it once with the students and have them identify the foods without using their lists or their books.

 

2.    Empecemos a conversar – pg. 124  Texto  Prácticas orales con un/a compañero/a de clase.   We did the first two Prácticas Orales yesterday.  Have the students to the last one with a partner.  First go through the instructions with them.

 

3.    VIDEO – CAPITULO 4  The video that goes along with the text is in the video cabinet.  It is all set up to exactly where it needs to be.  Be sure to rewind it to this exact spot when you are finished so that it is ready for the next class.  Students do not need to use their WAVAS this time.

a.    Show the two versions of Parte B – Vocabulario para conversar (without and then WITH captions) . 

b.    Stop the video at the TODO JUNTO section and do not show that

4.    If there is time remaining, have the students use it to quiz themselves on the vocabulary, using their vocabulary lists and their Blackline Masters......the quiz over these words will be tomorrow and then we will do a VOCABULARY BINGO game on COMIDA.
