Quiz - Body Parts
I. Writing activity (actividad Escrita (en los diarios) - Escribe sobre lo que tu has hecho para mantener la buena salud. Ya hemos discutido este tema en clase....ahora tienes la oportunidad de escribir un ensayo sobre todo lo que has hecho durante el año pasado para mantenerte en forma y guardar la buena salud.
II. Caricatura # 10 - Vocabulario:
no soltar + to cling onto (not release)
testarudo = stubborn
rehusar = to refuse
bloques = building blocks
juguetes = toys
compañeros = playmates
el terreno para jugar ( o el patio de recreo) = the playground
diversión = fun
llorando = crying
sorprendido = surprised
1. Alow the students 5 minutes in pairs to describe everything that they see in each box of the story.
2. Then ask the students the Spanish questions for Picture #10 from the facing page of the book as they go through the caricatura box by box. The answers to the quests will form the framework for the development of a story based upon the pictures.
3. Have the students work with a partner to tell the story illustrated by the sequence of pictures.
III. Informal commands - 3rd person singular
last class we did the reading - (see transparency) - "Una Lección de Manejar"
a. Students read aloud with partner
b. They made alist of all of the informal commands in the reading
c. Today they should get into pairs and endeavour to give one another a driving lesson, using the commands and some of the phrases used in the reading. The pairs should actually stand up and move around the room, pantomiming the instructions given in spanish to each "driver" by each instructor. Each student should take a turn as a "driver" and an "instructor."
4. Introducción - We have reviewed the INFORMAL (Tú) commands. Now we need to take a look at the FORMAL commands and the NEGATIVE commands.
