Speeches are tightly scheduled until the last day of class.  Students absent on the day that they are drawn to present will lose entire speech grade and will not be able to make up their speech.  (Simply because there ARE NO DAYS left in the semester for them to do so.)    Students absent on audience days will lose 25 points.  Final speech points or audience participation points will only be excused if the parent or guardian discusses the reason for the student’s absence with me.  Orthodontist or other routine appointments will not be considered as valid excuses during this time.  Please call in advance to let me know if your student will be absent on any of the scheduled speech days.    Norma Pomerleau 488-6297 (May leave message on voice mail.)
