Web-based Classroom

 

Objectives:

·        Improve communication with students.

·        Improve communication with parents.

·        Allow students to access class and internet resources

·        Cut costs by decreasing the use of photocopies and transparencies

·        Improve achievement in my Spanish classes

 

Where I started:

·        Was already computer literate and familiar with most software applications

·        Had expertise in both Macintosh and PC platforms

·        Already prepared my lesson plans and all peripheral materials on the computer – including transparencies, handouts, etc.

 

What I needed:

  1. Training on how to get a web site on the PSD Web
  2. Training on how to create an index page for my PSD web page
  3. Experience creating links, etc.
  4. Scott Durkin – came to my home and got me set up
