| Fall Testing | Testing must be completed and recorded by October 22nd. Who should be tested: Group 1 (Cohort) and Group 2 (Recommended), and newly registered students. Purpose: Placing students in reading classes and alerting classroom teachers for the need of reading interventions. |
| Spring Testing | Testing must be completed and recorded by April 22 Who should be tested:Group 1 (Cohort) and Group 2 (Recommended), Group 3 Purpose: To assess student progress, assist in scheduling for the following academic year, and for as student ot get on or off an ILP. |
| Testing procedure | See the Read 180 Placement, Assessment and Reporting Guide pp 22-24, 23, 25, 26 Note: When entering a student into the Read 180 manager for either the purpose of using the SRI or for enrollment into the program, you must use the student's district ID number. Students should log out of program before logging off a computer session to insure data capture. |
| Testing all students in a building | If you are interested in using the SRI to assess all students in a building, you may purchase additional SRI licenses. The data from this test can be disseminated to teachers/counselors at your site for use in differentiating instruction and for ensuring correct placement of students in various classes. Please contact the Secondary Language Arts Facilitator for more information. |
