Mark was born on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington and lived in Seattle, San Diego and Riverside, CA. He moved to Maui when he was nine and considers the Aloha state his home.

Mark graduated from Baldwin High School in 1977. He attended the University of Denver and graduated in 1981, with a degree in Music Education. In 1986, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Mark earned his Masters degree in Education emphasis in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University in 1999. Go Rams!

Mark is the youngest of four with one sister and two brothers. He and his wife Brenda have two daughters, Mandy a junior at FCHS and Jessie a 9th grader at Preston Junior high.

Before becoming a Lambkin counselor Mark was a high school band director for 10 years. Mr. Cummings has been a counselor at FCHS for the past ten years and is the Peer Counseling advisor.

When Mark isn’t breaking the speed limit, zipping around the halls beeping his Roadrunner horn, you can find him serenading the students and staff, reading, playing music (guitar, flute and piano), star gazing or hand cycling.
