Welcome
to My Online Classroom!
Students
and parents can find information
and resources for the classes I
teach at Cache
La Poudre Junior High School.
CLP is an amazing school at the
foothills of the Rocky Mountains
of Colorado. I've had the privilege
of teaching at this school since
1995.
In
addition to class resources, students
and parents can check
their grades,
check their Poudre
School District email and enjoy a few things that
I thought were fun or interesting.
I've
been putting my classroom online
since 1995 and the site has gone
through many changes, some of the
changes
and improvements are a direct result
of feedback from parents and students.
If you have suggestions or ideas
feel free to contact
me.
CLP adopted the
block system a number of years ago.
Each day is divided into 4 blocks,
each block is 88 minutes long. These
longer classes allow each teacher
to teach their content in the time
period of a semester rather than
a year.
I really like the
block and I think it is one of the
many good things we have going for
us at CLP. During a block, teachers
and students can take time to explore
topics in depth and complete a number
of different activities. It also
allows teachers to really get to
know their students (because they
see less students over the course
of the semester) and vice versa. I teach six different
one-block classes each semester at
CLP.
My planning is usually spent preparing
for my classes, grading, contacting
parents, updating my physical and
online classroom, working on school
wide projects and completing tech
projects.
The classes I currently
teach at CLP are World
History and
US
History.
Thanks
again for visiting, I hope you
find the site useful and enjoyable!.
