The Evaluation

You will be evaluated on 4 components of this WebQuest.

1.     The first component (15%) of your grade will be

Ø     the reference citations of web sites, any printed materials, personal interviews or any other source you used in your information/data collection and

Ø     5 multiple choice test questions based on your research and presentation.

ØPlease focus on the important points from your presentation rather than on minor details. Good multiple choice questions are the easiest to grade and leave the least room for doubt about the answers.

ØThese 2 things must be completed by each person individually.

2.     The second component (25%) of your grade will involve your printed paper that encapsulates the results of your research. This may be

Ø     a bi- or trifold brochure,

Ø     a "page" from a newspaper or magazine, or

Ø     a simple one-page summary with graphics. (Use of color is encouraged.)

ØThis document must be completed by each person individually.

3.     The third component (30%) of your grade will be for the presentation you (and your colleagues) make to the class.

ØThe presentation will be done as a group. You will each receive the same score.

4.     The fourth component (30%) will be a written evaluation.

Ø     Questions written by students in your class will be selected and compiled into a written examination.

Ø     Questions must be multiple choice and will include correct answers.

Ø     An attempt will be made to select at least one question written by each student in the class.

Ø     Each person will take the class test.
