Welcome to my home page. The information here is to help you be successful in my Biology class. There are five sections. Each of the sections is described below.

The main section is called Assignments and Assessments. It has lists of what work is due, and when it is due. There is a page with the assignmments and assessments for the current unit, one for the previous unit, and one for the next unit.

Those pages are linked to pages suitable for printing. Just click on the HyperText to get that page. There is no printing page for the next unit until just before that unit begins.

Besides what you are expected to do outside of class, my site has a calendar of what we will be doing in class each day. There are two versions of the calendar. The first is the calendar with only the current weeks. The second is the calendar for the full school year.

I have included links to other web sites that are related to the current unit. One of the links is to the "Yahoo!" search page for that unit. The others are for sites that have background information for the unit. To get to the links, click on the "Hot Links" icon on the left. The linked pages will open in a new window. To return to my site, just close the window.

To get to news about the class, click on the "Hot Flashes" icon on the left. There is a listing of the articles near the top of this page. It also lists the date each article was posted so you can tell if there is anything new.

Sometimes, there is an extension section included. Extensions are intended to extend your knowledge beyond what is taught in the class itself. Extensions are not required, but points are given to those who do them.

The final section is the Objectives page. It lists the state standards for the current unit along with the objectives for this course that are derived from those standards.
