Poster Assignment
General Rules
- There
are two to three people on each poster team. Each poster team produces one poster.
- Each
poster needs to be about 3 feet by 2 feet and should be on poster
board. The poster may be a bit
larger but should not be any smaller.
- Each
poster can have hand drawn pictures, computer generated, neatly cut
pictures with computer generated text, or any combination thereof.
- Each
poster needs a title line that presents the general theme of the poster.
- Each
poster must have at least three facts related to mathematics (formulas are
not needed, but if they are for one of these facts and the formula is
accurate and applies, it can be up to a 10 point bonus).
- Each
poster must have two additional facts that relate to the topic but not necessarily
related to mathematics.
- Each
poster must be neat and well organized.
- A
computer-written bibliography (with at least three entries) MUST to be
included on the back of each poster.
I will verify the sources.
If there is no bibliography, there will be no grade for the
project.
- Possible
topics include space exploration, city parks, national parks, baseball and
baseball parks, football and other sports and sports parks, school, music,
art, architecture, motorcycles, car engines, etc. If you are not sure about a topic,
please come see me.
- Computer
lab time will be scheduled for Monday.
At the end of Monday, a piece of paper with the members of the team
and a brief description (about ten sentences or bullet points) is
expected.
