Developing a good schedule is
something that is required in most industries.
In software development, it is critical to develop a good schedule in
order to make sure you have the final project completed on time. From my experience, when all a team has is
the final project due date, the project will not be completed in a satisfactory
manner. Too many mistakes will occur
and the product will often have be re-architected or, minimally, have a high
maintenance cost. I will present a
possible schedule here to help you with this planning. Where deliverables are required, I will list
these as Milestones.
The four main items in any
schedule are:
Additional entries could be
added. For example, in this instance
points earned could be included. Also,
if you want to gather information to improve future schedules, you might
include a section on the amount of time spent on each task.
