IT 5510 Course Overview Fall 2004
Welcome! This overview has been created to provide you
with the essential information for the semester.
Goal/Objective
Integrating Technology into the Curriculum - not only
the course title, but exactly my goal for the class and my objective for you to
personally and professionally accomplish. We will explore a variety of technologies and how their capabilities can be
utilized in teaching. You will create two instructional pieces that demonstrate
the infusion of technology into instruction. The pieces will focus on
instruction you are already currently doing in your classroom or instruction you
plan to do. The integration can be a new, modified, or different approach or
utilization of technology in your teaching. You will walk away from class with
two new pieces of
instruction that you created specifically and immediately to begin using in your own classroom.

The breakdown for your final

Communication/Bad Weather Policy
Use my personal email address wes@wesleggett.com as your primary mode of communication with me. Also, always check the courses page here prior to every class (Friday night and/or early Saturday morning) for any important announcement. This is especially true when there is bad weather resulting in treacherous roads. My commute to Denver in perfect conditions takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, but can easily double if I hit treacherous roads and/or traffic snarls caused by accidents. My personal directive to you is that if you feel, in your judgment, that your commute to class is unsafe, then do not attempt to make it to class! Your safety and well-being is my biggest concern. Vigilantly monitor the courses page on my website if there is inclement weather and I happen to be temporarily stuck at home. We'll work out a system of communication during our first class session on how I can get word to you and everyone else by cell phone if I'm already on the road (Telephone Calling Tree). Above all else, I will model flexibility and adaptability for whatever comes our way this semester.
Let's have a great semester!
