Student Television Network National Convention.
Anaheim, CA
Spending 4 days as a volunteer with 1500 middle and high school broadcasting students and
teachers from 144 schools was another exhausting blast. This year, I
moderated and judged the new middle school on-site contests.
Unfortunately, the stress of the anchoring contest got to one young
student and I had my first experience in 20 years of teaching of being
hurled on as he lost his lunch. |

"OUCH!"
Poor Goldie got slammed in the right rear buttocks by a woman who
lost control of her SUV and spun on the icy road. Goldie was neatly parked
and minding her own business when along came the lady. Fortunately, no one
was hurt. Goldie was parked on snow which allowed her to slide away from
the brunt of the impact and not sustain frame or axle damage. She is still
drivable until she has her repairs. |

time, because Big Bubby passed his written driver's test for his learner's
permit!" |

"Besides playing in the snow, my favorite thing is riding in the
