2000 Steamboat Springs. It sure is great to camp again with Grandma and Grandpa. Our campsite is at a church whey they and other MAPS-RVers are helping to build a new parsonage for the pastor. "Do you see the balloons in the distance ready to lift off?" |

"Wow, look at the sky beginning to fill with balloons!" |

"The Yampa River sure does feel good on a hot summer day!" |

"Help Dad, we're floating awayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!" |
"Hey, Dad, why do they call it Fish Creek Falls? Is it because it's a creek with fish and waterfalls?" |
"All I can say is AWESOME!!!" |

Sprague Lake
Trail, Rocky Mountain National Park.
"It's great to see our friends from Springfield!" |

Bockman Campground site #324. Colorado State Forest. Our all-church family campout weekend was held in rustic Bockman campground across from a high meadow grazing field. "Hey Dad, are the cows going to moo all night long again? I didn't get ANY sleep last night!"
"Okay...Dad's got the rudder and is starting to pedal...you can shove off now!" |
"Pedal,
pedal, pedal your boat, gentle down the lake, merrily, merrily, merrily, gee this place is great!" |
"Tuxee is getting bigger!" |

Chambers Lake Campground site #44. Roosevelt National Forest. "Okay, Dad, let's get the grill started. I'm STARVING!!!" |
"This is a great campsite with a wonderful view...but... |
...too bad the long dry summer meant they had to drain the lake for irrigation water for the farmers." |
"Hey, Dad, can you see me? I'm almost to the end of the boat ramp!" |
"Okay, instead of making sand castles, we'll make mud pies!" |
"It looks like we're up to our necks... |
...but we're just sitting on our bottoms!" |
"Ahhhh, I feel better all cleaned up. It's nice here by the stream, but I'm ready for some HIKING!!!" |

2000 "Mom and Dad helped me make this diorama for my science class. Mom made special dough for the mountains and let me use her wooden craft trees. Dad showed me how to paint everything and use felt for the tent, grass, plastic wrap over felt for the water, and glitter paint on felt for the night sky." |
"Then Dad helped me cut a hole in the top corner of the box so I could use my flashlight to shine as a full moon!" |
"I know I'm just a puppy, but what is this cold, white stuff that's falling on me???" |
"Snow? Snow in September? Four inches of snow in September? I love snow! I love to PLAY in snow! I love to EAT snow! I LOVE SNOW!!!" |
