Cruiser RV Corporation recently debuted its 24- and 26foot entry-level Shadow Cruiser fifth-wheel trailers designed to be hauled by half-ton pickups. "We are going to grow the niche by getting into fifth-wheels in a big way," said Cruiser RV President Louis Dickerhoof, who bought the company in 1998, when it was in bankruptcy. The new wood-and-aluminum fifth-wheels will feature Shadow Cruiser's first slideouts, and will be manufactured with a gross weight of less than 5,000 pounds. Retail pricing will range from $19,000 to $21,000.
